Professor Dr. Prabhakar Dongre, a founder of SCINOVA LABS LLP. He is a distinguished Indian Biophysicist, who served as the Professor and Head of the Department of Biophysics at the University of Mumbai. Before his tenure at the University of Mumbai, he held the position of Associate Professor in Biophysics at MIMSR Medical College in Latur, Maharashtra.

He obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Biophysics from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. His areas of research interest are the development of nanostructure-based snake venom inhibitors and targeted drug delivery using nanomaterials. He has authored over 75 research papers and review articles in peer-reviewed International and National Research Journals with high-impact factors, including but not limited to the International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, Journal of Fluorescence, Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis, Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces, Drug Delivery, Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, Journal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Journal of Biomolecular Structure and Dynamics, and BMC Cell Biology. Additionally, he has filed and published 6 Indian patents, out of which two have been granted. He is the reviewer of several internationally reputed journals and the editorial board member of the International Journal of Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology. He guided 12 research scholars for their Ph.D. and more than 100 students for the MSc research project. He completed a research project funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Defence Research and Development, the Department of Atomic Energy, the BRNS Government of India, and NGOs.

Prof Dongre worked on various statutory bodies/committees of the University of Mumbai, MGM Central University, Motahari Bihar, SRTMU Nanded, etc. He served as Vice President of the Indian Biophysical Society and president of Int. Society of Science and Technology, Mumbai. He is the recipient of the Best Teacher Award by the University of Mumbai, Best Academician & Research Award by Mauritius Marathi Mandali, Mauritius, Best Faculty of the Year by the Computer Society of India (Mumbai Chapter), Best Research Publication Award by the Biophysical Society of Japan. Elected fellow of Global Society for Basic and Applied Sciences (GSBAS) Mumbai, India. Fellow of International Society for Science and Technology, Mumbai (FIST).
